Ne'imah's 18th Annual Concert

Ne’imah’s 18th aniversary will be marked at its annual concert titled “Chai and Goodbye: A Musical Send-off to Rosemary and Joel Linsider" on May 23, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at The Linda, WAMC's Performing Arts Studio, 339 Central Avenue, Albany, NY.

Eighteen years ago Rosemary Linsider had the vision to establish a Jewish community chorus for the Capital District. With the support of her husband, Joel, Rosemary worked tirelessly to bring Jewish choral music and noted guest performers to our community. At this concert we will raise our voices in song and honor Rosemary and Joel as they prepare to make Alliyah and join their children in Israel.

Our guest performers at this celebration will be Jordon Gorfinkel and Sean Altman, founders and members of several Jewish a cappella groups such as Voices for Israel, Beat’achon and Kol Zimra, as well as the highly acclaimed Rockappella.

The concert will celebrate life (in Hebrew the number 18 is associated with the word "Chai" meaning "live/ alive") with its beauty and traditions.
